Condair GS - gas-fired steam humidifier

The Condair GS gas-fired steam humidifier offers high capacity steam generation with low operating costs. Generating steam with gas rather than electricity can result in costs savings of around 75%, making this system ideal for large industrial applications.

The humidifier incorporates a 360° flame encircling the burner. This provides a high thermal efficiency of over 90% delivering a faster response to humidification requirements.

The Condair GS has been designed to need minimal maintenance, and when servicing is required, it is simple and straight forward. The heat exchangers incorporate large flat surfaces that shed scale and help maintain efficient heat transfer.

Quality construction, state-of-the-art safety features, a user-friendly design and a variety of flexible options make the Condair GS the number one choice for gas-fired humidification.

 360° high efficiency burner
360° high efficiency burner

The cylindrical burner in the Condair GS has flame uniformly around its entire surface. This maximises the thermal transfer to the heat exchanger resulting in a thermal efficiency of over 90%.

The humidifier therefore reacts very quickly to a requirement for humidification whilst minimising gas consumption and emissions.

Steam output can also be consistently controlled from outputs as low as 10kg/hr.

 All round safety

You can rely on the Condair GS – from initial activation onwards. The electronics monitor and control the water level and combustion status and deactivate the system should malfunctions occur.

The Condair GS meets the criteria of all European standards and has been officially certified by British Gas.

 Three versions, six unit sizes

The Condair GS is available in six sizes from 40 to 240kg/hr. If more steam capacity is required, up to 10 humidifiers can be chained giving a huge maximum output of 2,400kg/hr.

An outdoor unit is offered with an all-weather enclosure and anti-freeze protection.

Two models are available for indoor installation. A room sealed version operates independently of the room atmosphere and obtains air for combustion via a pipe from outdoors. Alternatively a room-air dependent humidifier uses room air for the air/gas mixture.

The Condair GS humidifier for indoor use comes with a mounting stand.

 Features

  • Low energy costs

  • Large steam outputs

  • Low maintenance requirements

  • Can be used with any water type

  • Very efficient 360° burner

  • 75% cheaper to run than electric steam
  •  Low maintenance

The stainless steel heat exchanger has large flat surfaces that dislodge scale during normal operation. This scale falls to the bottom of the water tank. The large flat surfaces of the heat exchanger make it easy to remove what little scale is left behind. Also, as the heat exchanger remains mostly scale-free, the efficiency of heat transfer to the water is maximised.

To further reduce scale build-up in the boiling chamber, a low volume of fresh water is continually added and high mineral content water removed. This not only decreases scale build-up but improves humidity control when compared to other gas-fired humidifiers that occasionally stop steam production and run a complete tank drain to combat scale.

Before the hot mineral concentrate is sent to drain it is cooled to minimise stress on pipes.

     Intelligent control

The control panel with backlit graphic display is easy-to-use and indicates operational status, fault and maintenance requirements. It can show graphs of historic performance and demand as well as suggest solutions to problems with its troubleshooting feature.

The system can also be connected to a BMS and accepts Modbus protocol as standard and is available with optional BACnet or LonWorks protocols.
